Ruben Rodriguez was an All- American basketball candidate in his senior year of high school. He was a member of East Chicago Washington high school's first Indiana State Basketball Championship team.
Rodriguez became an educator having earned his master's degree from DePaul University in Chicago, IL. During his career, he taught grades from elementary through college. In Indiana he was a Dean of Students at St. Joseph's College, and a Regional Director of Student Services for Ivy Tech College.
Upon retirement, he turned his attention to writing and has written three books.
